Belarus' Energy Efficiency Department to cooperate with Inter RAO Export

MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – The Energy Efficiency Department of the State Standardization Committee of Belarus has signed a cooperation agreement with the Russian company OOO Inter RAO Export, the department's representatives told BelTA.

Deputy Chairman of the State Standardization Committee, Director of the Energy Efficiency Department Vitaly Kretsky took part in business events of the international forum Russian Energy Week in Moscow on 10-12 October. One of the main goals of the trip was to look into prospects of Belarusian-Russian cooperation and secure agreements on considering the possible construction of boiler houses powered by local fuels in Belarus and the possible use of export loans for building the installations. In particular, Vitaly Kretsky and Director General of OOO Inter RAO Export Maxim Sergeev signed a cooperation agreement within the framework of Russian Energy Week.

OOO Inter RAO Export is part of the group of companies PAO Inter RAO. This company was created to realize energy installation construction projects, supply power engineering equipment, and provide engineering services to customers outside PAO Inter RAO. PAO Inter RAO is a Russian state power engineering company that operates in over 30 countries. Its business interests include generation and sales of electricity and heat energy, transboundary trade in electricity, provision of engineering services, design and construction of power engineering facilities.
