Belarus' oil import up by 2.9% to 15.4m tonnes in January-August 2015

In January-August 2015 Belarus' crude oil import was up by 2.9% as against the same period a year earlier to 15.4 million tonnes, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee.
In January-August 2015 Belarus purchased oil worth $4.083 million. This corresponds to 70.9% of the crude oil costs paid by Belarus in January-August 2014. One tonne of crude oil cost $265.7 on average as against $385.4 in January-August 2014. The entire volume of oil was imported from Russia.
Belarus imported 791,000 tonnes of petroleum products to the tune of $282.2 million in January-August 2015 (up 4 times over January-August 2014). The average price was $356.6 per tonne as against $863.9 in January-August last year. Russia's share in the import of petroleum products was nearly 98%.
In January-August 2015 Belarus exported 1.1 million tonnes of oil, down 0.9% from the same period in 2014, to a total of $417 million (down almost two times). Oil was delivered solely to Germany.
In January-May 2015 Belarus exported 11,430,000 tonnes of petroleum products, up 20.3% from the same period in 2014, to a total of $4,947.7 million ($7,181.4 million in January-August 2014). The largest volumes were delivered to the United Kingdom (52% of the total export of petroleum products), Ukraine (17%) and the Netherlands (12%).
