MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich and Director General of the Russian state nuclear industry corporation Rosatom Alexey Likhachev signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of transportation of nuclear materials, BelTA learned from the press service of the Energy Ministry.
"The document was concluded within the framework of the Union State program on nuclear energy approved by the heads of state on 4 November. The agreement determines the procedure for the transportation of nuclear materials between the two countries," the press service said.
During the meeting in Moscow, Viktor Karankevich and Alexey Likhachev discussed the status of the project to build the Belarusian NPP and the further cooperation between Belarus and Rosatom State Corporation.
