Belarus, Russia’s Rosatom discuss joint projects in waste management

MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus and the Rosatom State Atomiс Energy Corporation have discussed joint projects in waste management, BelTA learned from the press service of the ministry.

“The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection hosted a meeting between First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Aleksandr Korbut and Director of the Department for Implementation of State and Sectoral Environmental Programs at Rosatom Andrey Lebedev. The parties examined cooperation prospects between the Belarusian ministry and the state corporation, including joint projects in waste management in the Union State,” the press service noted.

During the negotiations, a decision was made to hold the first meeting of the Belarus-Russia working group to select cooperation projects within the framework of the memorandum of understanding between the Rosatom State Atomiс Energy Corporation and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus.
