MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) – Belarus is fully supplied with materials for building new power grids, BelTA learned from Belarusian Deputy Energy Minister Denis Moroz.
Explaining whether Western sanctions against Belarus have affected the market of materials for building and reconstructing power grids, Denis Moroz said that Belarus makes virtually all the necessary materials and structures. “Even if some individual products are not available in Belarus, they are definitely available within the framework of the Union State of Belarus and Russia,” he noted.
Nikolai Rusak, Director of the Vitebsk city branch of the Vitebsk Oblast electric company Vitebskenergo, confirmed it. For instance, Minsk Electrotechnical Plant named after V.I. Kozlov makes power transformers while the industrial group Energocomplekt makes cables for all kinds of voltage, he noted.
