Belorusneft, BASF create premium gasoline
14.04.2015
The Belarusian company Belorusneft and the German concern BASF have created premium-class gasoline BN92, the company’s press service told BelTA.
The new product relies on Belarus-made high-quality gasoline and contains a number of innovative additives. Among other things it contains a modern friction modifier (one of the latest products by BASF) and special components to reduce internal friction in engines.
The combination allows the new kind of gasoline to provide high cleaning, corrosion-resistant, and lubricating qualities in addition to reducing the overall fuel consumption. Experts believe that BN92 will increase the engine’s performance and service life. The effect is noticeable as early as after several weeks.
In absolute figures BN92 gasoline reduces accretion on induction valves by 70-80%. Thanks to the reduced friction of components inside the engine fuel consumption is reduced by up to 3%. At the same time the carburetor and the fuel injection nozzles will stay as clean as possible.
The innovative fuel is available from Belorusneft’s proprietary refueling stations as of 14 April. Initially the price for the innovative gasoline BN92 will be as low as the price for the conventional gasoline.
The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft is Belarus’ largest retailer of oil products and liquefied natural gas. The company accounts for up to 70% of the automobile fuel sold in retail in Belarus. The network of Belorusneft’s refueling stations comprises roughly 550 stations.
The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in the surveying, prospecting and development of oil fields, well drilling, oil and associated petroleum gas extraction in Belarus and a number of other countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Ecuador.
