MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft intends to increase the number of electric vehicle charging stations up to 600 by the end of the year. The number will fully satisfy the domestic demand and will even slightly exceed it. Director General of the industrial group Belorusneft Aleksandr Lyakhov made the statement after delivering a report to Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 6 September, BelTA has learned.
At present Belorusneft operates a chain of 457 charging stations. Increasing it to 600 will create good prerequisites for individuals and corporations to embrace electric vehicles, Aleksandr Lyakhov noted.
Belorusneft intends to build fast charging stations in the future. “The future belongs to them,” Aleksandr Lyakhov is convinced. “Located in Vitebsk Oblast, the Vityas enterprise will make equipment for the electric vehicle charging stations.”
