The audience of the new special project launched by Belarusian Telegraph Agency under the title Nuclear Power in Belarus and Worldwide covers 60 countries across the globe already. The presentation of the website dedicated to nuclear science and power engineering as well as up-to-date news from the construction site of the Belarusian nuclear power plant took place as part of the expo Mass Media in Belarus on 25 April.
Apart from specialists the general public shows an increasing interest in nuclear research and nuclear energy power engineering that can produce cheap and environmentally friendly electricity. The need for up-to-date and objective information owes a lot to the fact that, respected scientists believe, despite the vigorous search for alternatives nuclear power plants will remain the key source of energy for the mankind in the 21st century. The latest advances in the nuclear industry allow securing breakthroughs in many other areas, too, including healthcare, instrument making, space exploration, creation of the latest aircraft and supercomputers.
Belarus has joined the club of nations that develop their nuclear industries for peaceful purposes.
