Rosatom to present interactive program during Ostrovets anniversary celebrations

MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – ASE Company (the engineering division of the Russian state nuclear industry corporation Rosatom) will present the Green Square interactive program for Belarusian residents on 25 August for the first time, BelTA learned from the company.
Ostrovets, the town where the Belarusian nuclear power plant is being built, marks its 550th anniversary this year. Celebrations will take place on 25 August. The Green Square interactive program will be an anniversary gift for local residents, the company informed. Several zones – Atom, Wind, Water and Sun – will be arranged on the bank of the Losha River on the Green Square ground. Local residents and tourists will be able to see the interaction of all these elements and to take part in activities envisaged by the interactive program. The program features science shows, thematic master classes, quizzes and contests.
“Ostrovets is the first town where Rosatom’s engineering division will present the Green Square program. We were glad to receive an invitation of the Ostrovets District Executive Committee to take part in the celebrations and we hope that this will become a good tradition,” Deputy Director for General Matters at the JSC ASE EC Office in Belarus Viktor Brich said.
