MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) – Ukraine will begin commercially importing electricity from Belarus on 6 November. As much as 5MW will be imported, TASS reports while quoting the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E).
According to ENTSO-E data, Ukraine will import electricity from Belarus without interruptions and without increasing or decreasing the throughput from 00:00 on 6 November till 23:00 on 6 November.
BelTA reported earlier that on 2 November Belarus supplied 500MW of electricity to Ukraine as part of the emergency aid agreement. Electricity was supplied upon Ukraine's request. Electricity was not supplied as part of some long-term commercial contract.
