Belarus, Russia’s Kaluga Oblast to discuss cooperation prospects

MINSK, 12 August (BelTA) – A delegation of the State Science and Technology Committee (SSTC) of Belarus led by its Chairman Alexander Shumilin is visiting Russia’s Kaluga Oblast on 12-13 August. The program of the visit includes meetings with regional authorities, scientists, and businessmen, BelTA learned from the SSTC press service.
“The parties will discuss the prospects of cooperation in chemical production, petrochemistry, machine building, transport and communication, healthcare, pharmaceutics, information and communication technologies, and agriculture,” the press service noted.
The Belarusian delegation has plans to visit the IT and communication technologies cluster, the industrial parks Rosva and Grabtsevo, scientific centers, innovative development zones, the research and production enterprise ZAO ObninskEnergoTech, the Tsiolkovsky Kaluga State University, and the Kaluga branch of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
Besides, the SSTC delegation will review the status of implementation of the action plan to develop cooperation between Belarus and Russia’s Kaluga Oblast for 2014-2016.
