Belarus signs agreements on scientific, technical cooperation in Sochi

Belarus concluded a number of
agreements on scientific and technical cooperation at the Second Forum
of Regions of Belarus and Russia in Sochi, BelTA learned from the press
service of the Belarusian State Science and Technology Committee.
“Several Belarusian R&D centers and educational establishments
signed agreements on scientific and technical cooperation during the
expo of scientific and technical achievements held as part of the forum.
For example, the state-run enterprise Experimental Factory of the
National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) and OOO Set Agromarket of
Russia's Krasnodar Krai concluded a contract to supply equipment for
pre-sale treatment of fruit and vegetables to the tune of around
€94,000,” the State Science and Technology Committee explained.
The NASB Institute of Microbiology signed agreements with the Russian
Agricultural Center of the Agriculture Ministry of the Russian
Federation, OOO Agroferment, and the All-Russia Research Institute of
Biotechnology Plant Protection. Apart from that, the Belarusian State
University, the Belarusian State University of Informatics and
Radioelectronics, the Belarusian-Russian University, and the Polytechnic
research park of the Belarusian National Technical University agreed
with the Don State Technical University to jointly develop and implement
projects.
Sochi was hosting the Second Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russian on
17-18 September. The stand of the Belarusian State Science and
Technology Committee, the NASB, and the Belarusian Education Ministry
showcased some 60 scientific and technical solutions developed within
the framework of joint Belarus-Russia programs related to IT, laser
technologies, agriculture, pharmaceutics, biotechnologies, healthcare,
space exploration, and production of new materials.
