BelTA’s website was awarded the TIBO annual Internet award in the nomination Belarus’ Best Information Resource, BelTA has learned.
The jury announced the best information resources – winners of TIBO 2016 Internet Awards. The first prize went to BelTA’s website, the second to the official website of the Medical Bulletin newspaper (developed by BelTA). The third prize was awarded to the portal of state media outlets “Mass Media in Belarus” (belsmi.by).
A large team works on BelTA’s website which was upgraded in 2015, said Ivan Sinichkin, the head of the Internet support department at BelTA News Agency. “We appreciate this. We will continue to provide high-quality and timely information which is useful to thousands of Belarusians,” he noted.
Most applications were submitted for the Best Information Resource nomination. A total of 68 projects were competing for the victory.
This year best Belarusian Internet resources were determined in 12 nominations. All in all, 275 applications were filed for the contest.
TIBO Internet Award is the prize of the TIBO Expo Organizing Committee and is presented to the projects created in the Belarusian domain of the Internet in recognition of considerable artistic, technological and socio-cultural achievements in the field of information, culture, arts and education. Since 2003 the competition has attracted more than 7,000 Internet resources.
The main objectives of TIBO Internet Awards is to assist the development of the Belarusian domain of the Internet, promote new information technologies and popularize the best achievements of Belarusian Internet domain.
