MOSCOW, 17 March (BelTA) – Results of the Eurasian Electrobus project, which was initiated by Belarus, will be presented in Sochi in June. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Petrishenko made the statement at the international economic forum “Dialogue of integrations: CIS, EAEU, SCO, BRICS” in Moscow on 17 March, BelTA has learned.
Igor Petrishenko said: “A demonstration of results of Belarus-sponsored manufacturing cooperation project Eurasian Electrobus will take place during the exhibition event Eurasia – Our Home timed to a session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Sochi on 7-9 June.”
The official reminded that in 2022 the heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union made a breakthrough decision on a mechanism to support manufacturing cooperation projects at the expense of the EAEU budget. “As from 2024 some of the assets transferred by the parties to the budget as a result of special antidumping and compensatory duties will be spent on subsidizing interest rates on loans granted for the realization of joint manufacturing cooperation projects in the production sector,” Igor Petrishenko explained.
