MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) – Isotope, a subsidiary of Rusatom Healthcare, has delivered the first batch of Macrotech 99mTc diagnostic kits to 22 clinics in Belarus, BelTA learned from the company's press service.
This medicine is used for radiography diagnostics of pulmonary embolism (acute blockage of a blood vessel by an embolus). The delivery was part of the contracts concluded by the Belpharmacia state-run pharmacy network following the tender that was won by Isotope.
In addition, every month since June 2022, Isotope has been importing RIA kits (radioimmunoassay kits) produced by the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
“The development of cooperation with Belarus in the field of nuclear medicine helps make innovative methods of diagnostics and treatment more accessible and strengthens the technological independence of the Union State,” said Isotope Director General Maxim Kushnarev.
Isotope is an industry integrator that sells and promotes isotope products made by enterprises affiliated with the Russian state nuclear industry corporation Rosatom, including radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine, manufacturing and research.
