Chinese investors sought for Vitebsk silicon valley
The project has been initiated by the Vitebsk Oblast administration and the small business incubator OOO Legal Group Law & Order. The project is part of the regional program for the investment and innovation-driven development of Vitebsk Oblast. The project provides for setting up a park for information and innovative technologies by inviting Belarusian and foreign companies to utilize the available infrastructure, buildings and structures in the free economic zone Vitebsk inside the city limits.

Belarus ranks 9th in Europe by number of heart transplant surgeries
Heart transplant is a treatment of the patients diagnosed with chronic heart failure. More than 165 operations of the kind have been performed in Belarus since 2009, around 40 operations per year in recent times. “We rank ninth in Europe by the number of heart transplants performed. We have made significant progress in this field,” Alexander Bulgak pointed out.

Belarus-Russia union program on engineering analysis in development
The official said: “We are now actively discussing a new Union State program in the field of engineering analysis. During the meeting Russia was represented by Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications Nikolai Nikiforov, representatives of the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media, Russian Satellite Communication Company, and the Radio Frequency Service. Belarus was represented by First Deputy Information Technologies and Communications Minister Dmitry Shedko, First Deputy Chairman of the State Defense Industries Committee Igor Bykov, and representatives of the Belarusian enterprise Precision Electromechanics Factory.
