Belarus' electricity exports more than double in 2019
“Last year electricity production in the country increased by 5% in comparison with 2018. Electricity exports showed a significant growth, by more than two times, to make up 2.4 billion kWh,” Belarus' Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich said.

The executive said: “The country consumes about 20 billion m3 of natural gas on the whole while the power grid consumes 10 billion. Once the two units of the Belarusian nuclear power plant are commissioned, the amount of gas consumed by the power grid will drop to 4 billion.”
