Upgrade of Belarus’ oil refineries to conclude in 2016
“The comprehensive upgrade of oil refineries is to be completed in 2016. This will allow increasing oil refining capacities up to 12 million tonnes per year (the figure has been about 9 million tonnes recently) and the oil processing depth up to 92-93% (today it makes up 70-72%). This, in turn, will generate an additional profit of $80-90 per every processed tonne of oil,” Vladimir Semashko said.

Belarus reduces oil export duties 1 November
The export duty on crude oil will go down from $344.7 to $316.7 per tonne. The duty on straight-run gasoline and commercial gasoline will make up $285 per tonne ($310.2 per tonne at present). The export duty on light and medium distillates will be $209 ($227.5). The same duty will be applied to benzene, toluene, xylene, fuel oil, lubricants, waste oils, petrolatum and paraffin, petroleum coke (except for calcinated petroleum coke) and oil bitumen.

Competitive ability of Belarusian oil-processing industry in spotlight after Russia’s tax maneuver
“The so-called large tax maneuver [in the oil industry] in the Russian Federation has unearthed problems with the competitive ability of the Belarusian oil-processing industry,” said the Belarusian head of government. In his opinion, in the future oil producers will put more pressure on oil-processing companies to force the latter to improve the crude oil upgrading index.

Belneftekhim’s oil products export to Russia 32.6% up in January-September
The executive pointed out that among other ones this factor contributed to the overall failure of the concern to hit its performance targets in January-September 2014. “A 32.6% increase in the shipment of oil products to the Russian market reduced the overall export of oil products by 0.86 percentage points due to the absence of customs duties in prices for commodities traded within the framework of the Customs Union,” said the Belneftekhim head.

Belenergo, Slovenian Kolektor ETRA to make power transformers in Belarus
The preliminary agreement on implementing the project was reached during the fourth session of the Belarusian-Slovenian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, and technical cooperation in Ljubljana. As part of the work of the commission a Belarusian delegation led by Belenergo Director General Yevgeny Voronov visited Kolektor ETRA’s power transformer factory in Ljubljana. The Belarusian specialists were made familiar with the state-of-the-art European technologies the company uses to make power transformers with the output capacity of up to 500MVA (megavolt ampere). After that consultations on using Slovenian technologies to modernize the Beloozersk-based factory took place.

Belarusian oil refineries to supply enough gasoline to home market, Russia in 2015
The output capacity of Belarusian oil refineries (Mozyr Oil Refinery and Naftan) will allow satisfying the domestic demand for gasoline and supplying 1.8 million tonnes of gasoline to Russia in 2015, the press service of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim told BelTA.

Another free flowing oil well for Belorusneft in Russia
The operating well stock of the Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft now includes another production well in Russia. Well No. 820s2 of the Osenneye deposit of OAO Oil Company Yangpur has the oil flow to the surface of over 100 tonnes per day, the press service of the Belarusian industrial group told BelTA.

Russia to supply 23m tonnes of oil to Belarus in 2015
The balances have been approved for one year. "Belarus will receive 23 million tonnes of oil, including 22 million tonnes by pipelines," a source in the Belarusian Council of Ministers told BelTA. Accordingly, Belarus will supply oil products to Russia in the agreed amounts. "All pricing principles will be market-driven," he said.
