According to Sergei Korenyako, a center to process information about emergencies on the Earth is being created in Belarus. “By 2017 we plan to fit it with the software and hardware solutions developed as part of the Monitoring SG program,” said the official.

Belarusian scientists to showcase innovative products in Abu Dhabi
A delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will take part in a Belarus-UAE scientific symposium and an exhibition of Belarus’ scientific and technical potential. The events will take place in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates on 16-17 March 2015. The Academy will present 58 latest innovative products, noted the press service.

Belarusian telecoms to discuss cooperation with Skype, Viber in Q2 2015
Held on 25 February, the session of the public advisory board gathered a large number of representatives of concerned agencies. The session focused on monetizing individual services provided using telecommunication networks. The international community has so far failed to come up with a universal mechanism to regulate these matters although regulations and interoperator agreements used in different countries are similar to a large extent. Participants of the session of the public advisory board for entrepreneurship development exchanged opinions concerning the development of common approaches and an optimal position for regulating these matters in Belarus taking into account international experience.

Rapota in favor of stronger sci-tech ties between Belarus and Russia
Grigory Rapota stressed that the Union State boasts a high level of cooperation in all areas. This achievement must not be wasted, and a new impetus should be given to scientific and technical cooperation. "Today’s challenges are import replacement, improvement of the mechanism of commercializing scientific achievements. I would like to see the Union State potential be utilized to meet those challenges,” he said.

Expert center of Belarus-Russia interacademy council to evaluate high-tech projects
The center will carry out expert evaluation of high-tech projects and programs of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in various branches of the national economies. The center will focus on space exploration, aircraft engineering, automobile engineering, chemical industry, agribusiness, mechanical engineering, and metallurgy.

No decision yet to change Belarus’ Hi-Tech Park taxation terms
The decision to change the tax burden of the Hi-Tech Park of Belarus has not been made. The information was released by Belarusian Labor and Social Protection Minister Marianna Shchetkina during the expanded participation session of the State Construction, Local Self-Government, and Regulations Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus on 20 February, BelTA has learned.
