Lukashenko: Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park project is important for bilateral relations
The head of state believes that it is essential to accelerate the construction of the facility. He emphasized that the Chinese side views this project as one of the most important projects in the Belarusian-Chinese relations. The President deems it necessary to step up efforts to create the park taking into account the fact that the meeting with President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping will take place this year.

Belarusian Emergencies Ministry to get long-range UAV in 2015
In his words, the drone can stay in the air for up to ten hours as high as 5,000m. It can fly as fast as 120kmph in the deployment area. The UAV can be used for recon missions, for detecting emergencies and assessing their development, for monitoring agricultural crops. It will be possible to use the system later to monitor radiation status in the area of the construction site of the Belarusian nuclear power plant. The data will be fed in real time, noted the head of the Belarusian R&D center for UAV technologies.

Belarusian Belkommunmash rolls out cutting-edge tram
According to Yelena Tsikhelashvili, a representative of the Novopolotsk city tram depot, such trams have not been used in Belarus up till now. After a lengthy period of startup and commissioning effort the latest model of the one-section semi-low-floor tram went to service the city's only tram route. The model is expected to become the foundation of electric rail transport of Belarus in addition to providing respectable export contracts for Belkommunmash.

Members of the EEC Council held a session in Moscow to discuss the unification of price and weight norms of duty free import of goods for personal use sent by international mail or delivered by a specialized company. As a result, the sides decided to preserve the existing norms that were established in the member states of the union at the national level until the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union enters into force.

Plans for Belarus-Japan-Korea robot technology project unveiled
“Scientists from Japan and the Republic of Korea show interest in our research in the area of robotics technology. We are now discussing the possibility of implementing a joint project in 2015,” explained Alexander Shumilin. In his words, representatives of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and a Belarusian university may represent the Belarusian side in the project.

Belarusian Railways to switch to e-document management in domestic shipments
In 2014 Belarusian Railways made it possible for shipping companies to send in electronic versions of the applications for freight transportation, car spotting schedules, cargo registration cards, and acceptance operator’s records. “The electronic documents are processed with the help of the Digital Transportation system developed by the Data Protection Center of Belarusian Railways,” the press service explained.
